Pierce Centre Pivot Irrigation
Our choice of pivots are the Pierce range, their engineering, design and durability is the leader in centre pivot irrigation systems. We find the wider base footprint of Pierce pivots are well suited to the Tasmanian weather conditions with extra stability through the base structure. The angled legs and cross braces made from galvanised structural steel give the pivots added support to withstand the roaring “40 degree south” winds.
Pierce Circle-master CP-600
There are two options for CP-600; fixed with a concrete slab or a towable (trailer) model for manoeuvrability. The towing model has an extra long, fixed tow tongue assembly and 24” high floatation tyres. The intermediated tower has higher attachment of the compression braces which gives a higher clearance of crops such as maize and corn.

Stability
The CP-600 has a wide span truss assembly width with a lower centre of gravity to reduce movement and the risk of falling over. The tower leg fixing has a unique design for additional strength, reducing the torsional stress on the span pipe.
Triangular Fixing
The CP-600 design features unique double bolted mounting brackets on a triangular fixing for extra strength, reducing torsional stress on the span pipe.
Control Panel
When faced with extreme Tasmanian weather conditions the ‘smarts’ of the system need to be well protected. The stainless steel cabinet of the Pierce control panel protects the silk screen external graphics and functions that have been designed for durability and longevity.
